Scalability

All font sizes, spacing and basic distance values are defined in relative dimensions. You can adjust the font sizes above the header image by a mouse click (A- / A+). Furthermore, you can change the font size via the keyboard depending on the browser (e.g. Firefox: CTRL and + to enlarge, CTRL and – to reduce the size)

Page layout structure

HTML elements are used according to their semantics, so that you can read and navigate the site using screen readers without style sheets. The positioning of elements takes place mostly using DIV elements and CSS, additional tables are used only in a few cases. Empty / transparent graphics are not used at any point.

Graphic information

When charts and images are used for the mediation of information, they are accompanied by an alternative descriptive text. This does not apply to images used only as a decoration or for design purposes.

The use of browser-based scripting languages (JavaScript)

All information on this website is accessible without JavaScript. Javascript is used only in a few places and is merely a simplification of some features of this site, and is not a prerequisite.

Simplified / mobile version of the website

The simplified version of this site, single-column formatted and well displayed on mobile devices, rich in contrast and text-oriented, is available via “mobile version” at any time.
